6 People Displaced Following Westbury House Fire Wednesday Morning: NCFM
All occupants evacuated the house when they smelled smoke, fire marshals say.
WESTBURY, NY — A Westbury house fire has displaced 6 people on Wednesday morning, fire marshals said.
Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office said the Westbury Fire Department responded to a two-story house on Franklin St. at approximately 9 a.m.
The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes with approximately 40 firefighters on scene, fire marshals said.

Six adults were displaced, but no injuries were reported, fire marshals said.
Everyone in the house at the time of the fire evacuated the house when they smelled smoke, and a passerby dialed 911, fire marshals said.

According to fire marshals, the NCFM Investigations Division and the NCPD Arson/Bomb Squad are investigating the cause of the fire.
Carle Place and Mineola Fire Departments provided mutual aid assistance, all under the command of Chief Stewart, fire marshals said.
