The incident, reported by 511NY around 10:17 a.m., is affecting the stretch between Old Country Road and Brush Hollow Road, a key route for many local commuters.    

• New Family-Owned Butcher Shop + Italian Sushi + $61M Downtown Project (patch.com) — Hicksville’s downtown is set for a major transformation, with the Town of Oyster Bay approving the $61 million Cornerstone Hicksville project on two acres along Jerusalem Avenue near the LIRR station, bringing more housing to the area.
