Jeep Strikes Motorcyclist, 'Severe' Arm Injury, Police Apply Tourniquet: PD

WESTBURY, NY — A motorcyclist suffered a severe arm injury after a Jeep struck him on Saturday afternoon in Westbury, police said.

A 26-year-old man driving a 2016 Jeep tried to make a left turn into a parking lot and struck a 2007 Harley-Davidson driven by a 44-year-old man, who was traveling eastbound on Old Country Road at 2:28 p.m., Nassau County police said.

First responding officers applied a tourniquet to the 44-year-old man and transported him to a nearby hospital, police said. The 26-year-old man remained at the scene, according to police.
