Police arrested a Queens woman and are urging Hicksville families to warn older relatives about similar frauds and to call Nassau County police or 911 if they suspect a scam.

Blood drive planned for Sept. 15th (syossetadvance.com subscription) β Hicksville residents are invited to a Town of Oyster Bay blood drive on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Hicksville Community Center on West Carl Street. With hospitals facing shortages, officials are urging eligible donors to book appointments, noting participants receive a Dairy Queen treat voucher and New York Islanders tickets while helping boost local blood supplies.
