• Police seek additional victims in widespread Long Island home rental scam (fox5ny.com) — Residents in Hicksville are being warned about a sophisticated rental scam that has already hit multiple Long Island communities, including at least two incidents tied to the town. Nassau County police say two suspects posed as homeowners, broke into lockboxes, and collected thousands in fake rent and deposits, and they believe more Hicksville victims may be out there who haven't yet contacted detectives.
