Baby Girl, Mother Healthy After Ambulance Birth: Police

HICKSVILLE, NY — A baby girl was delivered in an ambulance in Hicksville on the way to the hospital on Saturday, police said.

Officers responded at 3:59 a.m. for a call of a 28-year-old woman in labor, Nassau County police said.

First responders assisted the mother onto a NCPD ambualnce where she delivered the baby girl en route to the hospital, police said.

According to police, both the mother and baby are in stable condition, doing well.
