NCPD: Registered Sex Offender Accused of Having Child Porn on His Cell Phone (longisland.com) — Hicksville residents should be aware that a 38-year-old local registered sex offender has been arrested after detectives say they found unreported social media accounts and numerous child pornography files on his phone. Nassau police are asking anyone who believes they may have been victimized to contact Crime Stoppers or the Special Victims Squad, noting all calls will remain anonymous.
2. Officials attend 'Topping Off' ceremony at Hicksville project (midislandtimes.com) — A major mixed-use project steps from the Hicksville LIRR station has reached its "topping off" milestone, signaling that construction is entering its final phase. Town of Oyster Bay officials say the Fieldstone at North Broadway development is a key piece of Hicksville's downtown revitalization, promising new housing, retail, and a more walkable, transit-oriented community by 2027.
3. Rotary Club makes donation to Boys and Girls Club (midislandtimes.com) — Hicksville's Boys and Girls Club just received a boost from the Hicksville-Jericho Rotary Club, which donated Nintendo Switch 2 systems, sports gear, and other items to enrich after-school programs. Rotary members joined club staff and kids in Hicksville for a pizza party unveiling, continuing a decades-long tradition of supporting local youth and inviting neighbors to get involved with Rotary.

From a firsthand 9/11 account at Hicksville High School to social studies activities in the middle school and themed readings in all seven elementary schools, the district emphasized unity, courage, and resilience for local students.

MTA prepares for weekend nor'easter on Long Island (liherald.com) — Hicksville riders should know the MTA is bracing for this weekend's nor'easter after downed utility poles in town recently disrupted LIRR service. Crews are coordinating with PSEG and LIPA, staging pumps and chainsaws, and restricting certain trucks on bridges to limit wind damage and keep trains and crossings operating as safely as possible.
