Electrical Issue Sparks Hicksville Blaze

HICKSVILLE, NY — A Hicksville building fire was sparked by an electrical issue on Wednesday morning, Nassau police said.

Officers were called to 70 Washington Parkway around 2 a.m. for a building fire. The Bethpage Fire Department extinguished the fire. The building contained propane tanks requiring a HazMat response, police said.

There were no reported injuries. The Nassau County Fire Marshal was at the building.
