Group Punches, Robs Man Walking In Hicksville
The man was robbed near the Broadway Mall on Sunday evening, police say.

Authorities say a man was knocked to the ground, beaten and robbed by three people in Hicksville on Sunday evening.
The 33-year-old man was walking from the Broadway Mall when he was approached by three men near James Street and Sackett Street at 5:35 p.m., police say. The three men knocked the victim to the ground, punched him and went through his pockets, police say. The robbers also threatened the use of a gun, but never displayed a weapon.
The three men fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction with the victim's cellphone and wallet, which contained cash, police say.

No injuries were reported.
Police described two of the robbers as in their late teens, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall with thin builds, and wearing a gray hooded sweat jacket and a white hooded sweat jacket. The third robber was described as in his late teens, 5 feet 10 inches tall, approximately 200 pounds and wearing a gray hooded sweat jacket. No further description was available.
