Hicksville Emergency Crews Respond To Two-Car Crash, Rollover

One person was transported a local hospital Wednesday after a two-car crash in Hicksville that left one car on its side.

HICKSVILLE, NY – One person was transported a local hospital Wednesday after a two-car crash in Hicksville that left one car on its side.

On Wednesday just after 7 p.m., crews from the Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department and Nassau County Police responded to the scene of an overturned car where a person was reportedly trapped inside, according to officials. The crash happened at the intersection of Plainview Road and Pine Street.

When emergency crews arrived, the driver was outside of the van, officials said. The driver was evaluated and transported to Nassau University Medical Center.

Emergency crews were able to turn the van right-side up and cleared spilled fluids in order to reopen the intersection to traffic.
