Hicksville Fire Sends Residents To Street On Christmas Eve: Police

It happened at a home on Maple Place.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A house fire in Hicksville caused the evacuation of all residents on Sunday, police said.

Officers responded to the home on Maple Place just before 5:30 p.m. after the homeowner discovered heavy smoke coming from the first-floor back bedroom.

The Hicksville Fire Department, and several other departments, extinguished the blaze, police said.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad detectives are investigating. No injuries were reported.
