HICKSVILLE, NY — Hicksville Middle School students celebrated Pi Day on March 14.

Twenty-five staff members – teachers, assistant principals, and the principal – volunteered to be pied in the face by students.

Pi Day is an annual celebration, and the mathematical constant pi was founded in 1988 by Larry Shaw. Schools across Long Island and nationwide celebrated the day.
