
HICKSVILLE, NEW YORK – A grant secured by Assemblymember Charles Lavine (D-North Shore) will help kids in Hicksville continue to have more after-school options. Lavine announced a $30,000 grant for the Hicksville Boys & Girls Club during a recent visit. Lavine spent time talking to members and met with Executive Director Tom Bruno to discuss some of the upcoming programs the organization will be providing to keep kids in the Hicksville community active and engaged.
Assemblymember Charles Lavine said: “I am extremely pleased to have secured a grant for this incredible organization which, under the leadership of Tom Bruno, has become an indispensable resource by providing after-school programming for Hicksville students.”
Hicksville B&G Club Executive Director Tom Bruno said: “The board, the staff, and the members would like to thank Assemblymember Charles Lavine for his support of the programs conducted by the Hicksville Boys and Girls Club. By giving us a $30,000 grant that will be used for general operating purposes, it will allow us to continue to provide a safe, supervised environment for the young people of the Hicksville community.

Assemblymember Charles Lavine represents New York’s 13th Assembly District in Nassau County. He presently serves as Chair of the Judiciary Committee and is a member of the Committees on Codes, Ethics and Guidance, Insurance and Rules.
