Man Pointed Fake Pistol At Woman, 3 Kids, In Nassau: Police

A woman, who had her three children in the car, was threatened with a fake pistol when she honked at a man in front of her, police say.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A man was arrested after Nassau police said he displayed a fake pistol at a woman and her three children on Sunday in Hicksville during a road argument.

A woman, 31, was driving her car with her three children, ages 12, 7 and 1, inside it at a McDonald's drive-thru, at 805 South Broadway, at 9:50 p.m., police said. She was behind a red Hyundai that was not moving so she honked her horn, police said. The Hyundai driver, Nicholas Carpenzano, 32, of Patchogue, got out and pointed what the woman thought was a pistol at her and her three children, police said. The woman, fearing for her life, drove away and told Nassau police, police said.

Officers found Carpenzano and his Hyundai near South Broadway and Millwood Gate and conducted a traffic stop, police said.
