Man Shot In Leg On Nassau Street; Shooter At Large: Police

The victim is listed in stable condition in an area hospital, police said.

NEW CASSEL, NY — A man was shot just after midnight on Monday in New Cassel, Nassau police said.

The 21-year-old victim was found by police near the intersection of Oliver Street and Elton Street with a gunshot wound to the leg, authorities said.

Officers applied a tourniquet and he was transported to a local hospital where he is in stable condition.

No other injuries were reported.
