Man Stole $158K From AT&T Business Accounts: Nassau Police
The man made unauthorized transactions on the store's business accounts and reimbursed other account holders without permission, police say.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A Hicksville man was arrested in connection with multiple grand larcenies on Wednesday, Nassau police said.
Officers responded to the AT&T store, at 176 Franklin Ave., Franklin Square for a theft, police said. A 28-year-old male employee said a former employee, Usman Ghafoor, 34, made unauthorized transactions on several AT&T business accounts totaling $158,354.81 on various dates, police said.
Ghafoor would use various existing business credit card accounts to reimburse other account holders without permission, police said.

Detectives were able to find Ghafoor at his home and arrested him without incident on Wednesday, police said.
Ghafoor was charged with second-degree grand larceny and third-degree grand larceny.

He was arraigned on Thursday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
