Motorcyle Driver Seriously Injured In Hicksville Crash: Police

Nassau County police said the motorcycle was rear-ended by a truck in a Friday night crash on Bethpage Road.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A man was seriously injured Friday night when the motorcycle he was driving was rear-ended by a truck in Hicksville, according to authorities.

According to Nassau County police, the 35-year-old man was driving a motorcycle north on Bethpage Road near Franklin Street when he was rear-ended by a 47-year-old man driving a 2021 GMC in the same direction.

According to police, the motorcycle driver was thrown from the bike during the crash.

Police said the motorcycle driver suffered multiple traumatic injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was in critical condition.

The driver of the truck remained on scene, police said.
