Nassau Man Arrested For Having Multiple Fake Credit Cards: Police

Police say they pulled him over for talking on his phone while driving, and then found the forgeries.

A Uniondale man was arrested in Hicksville early Wednesday morning after an investigation following a traffic stop found he was in possession of multiple forged IDs and credit cards.

According to police, officers saw a man driving near the Broadway Mall just after midnight while talking on a cell phone. The officers pulled the car over and conducted a thorough investigation.

Police say that the driver, Fabeian Scotland, 28, of Emerson Street, was in possession of eight fraudulent credit cards, a fraudulent South Carolina driver's license and two credit card skimming devices.

Scotland was charged with nine counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, two counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a skimming device and traffic violations. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
