Nassau Man Found Driving Stolen Car, Had Stolen Credit Cards: PD

Police say the officers found the stolen credit cards on him when he was arrested.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A Nassau man was arrested Wednesday night after police say he was found in a stolen car along with other items he had allegedly stolen.

According to police, officers were called to Mayflower Drive in Hicksville at 8:35 p.m. for a suspicious car parked on the road. Police say that officers found 19-year-old Clifton Woods driving the car. An investigation found that the car was reported stolen on Tuesday, and police say Woods was placed under arrest.

During his arrest, police say that the officers found several credit cards that had also been stolen on Woods.

Woods is charged with third-degree grand larceny, two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and two counts of second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today.
