Nassau Police Seek $50,000 Jewelry Thief
The man stole jewelry from a display case over the weekend, police say.

Police are looking to identify the man who stole $50,000 worth of jewelry from a Westbury jewelry store on Saturday.
According to authorities, the man entered Kay Jewelers, located at 630 Old Country Road, and removed assorted jewelry from a display case at 6:50 p.m.
The man then left the store without paying for the jewelry, which was valued at approximatley $50,000.

The man is wanted for grand larceny. Police described him as Hispanic or Black, about 30 to 40 years old, about 250 to 280 pounds, and wearing a red hat, black shirt and blue jeans.
Detectives request anyone with information regarding this grand larceny to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
