Nassau Woman Drove Drunk With 3 Kids In Car: Police

A Westbury woman was arrested early Friday morning and charged with driving drunk with three children in her car.

According to police, Telma Galdamez, 32, of Mirabelle Avenue, was driving a black 2014 Mercedes Benz on Old Country Road at 1:10 a.m. and was swerving between lanes. Officers pulled her over near Merrick Avenue, and police say the officers saw she was drunk. Galdamez was placed under arrest without incident.

There were three minors in her car at the time of her arrest: ages 15, 13 and 10. They were released to a family member.

Galdamez is charged with three counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, driving while intoxicated and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. She is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.
