New Bagel Shop Opens In Hicksville, Joining 3 New Establishments In Plaza
All four shops are co-owned by the same partners and opened just a few months ago.

HICKSVILLE, NY — Bagel Amore opened its doors this week in Hicksville, joining the other three new businesses in its plaza. The soft opening was held on Saturday.
The bagel shop is located on Woodbury Road, in the same shopping center as Shawarma Square, Humty Dumty, and Cross Street Cafe, all of which opened in the past few months.
These four establishments are all co-owned by the same four partners, all of whom live on Long Island.

Co-owner and Plainview resident Faraz Essani said he and his three partners opened the first establishment in the plaza, Humty Dumty, in October 2025.
Essani said that he and his partners were planning to open a coffee shop, but when they saw the opportunity to co-own all four spaces in the plaza, they jumped at the idea. Essani said he saw a huge potential in their establishments.

He explained that the four spaces share a common kitchen and connect in the back for staff, but customers enter each store from the front as usual. The establishments also share staff.
On the interior of each shop, Essani said he has experience in interior design, photography, and fashion– he had a large role in designing the space: "It's my specialty."
He said he's lived on Long Island for more than nine years and wanted to make a difference in the food industry.
"I was disappointed in some of the places on Long Island in terms of food, cleaniliness, hygiene, customer service, and modern ambience," he said. "We tried to make sure it's the most clean and modern-looking establishment for our customers."
As a way to give back to their community, Essani said they give people a bag of bagels if they cannot afford it and if they are struggling.
"We will not ask for anything in return," he said. "We make sure we take care of them."
He said the bagels are sourced locally from a reputable supplier on Long Island, and they pick up the bagels at 5 a.m. each day. Essani said they are made each morning.
Bagel Amore is located at 83 Woodbury Rd in Hicksville.
