Police Seek 2 Who Robbed, Assaulted Man in Westbury
The man suffered contusions to his face and lip Tuesday morning, police say.
Police are looking to identify two people who assaulted and robbed a man in Westbury on Tuesday morning.
According to authorities, a 26-year-old man was walking south on Post Avenue when he was approached by two unknown men at 1:47 a.m. One of the men punched the 26-year old on the side of the face, pushed him to the ground and removed and iPhone out of his pants pocket, police say.
The second robber demanded money and the man handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, police say.

Both robbers fled on foot west on Maple Avenue with the proceeds.

Police say no weapons were displayed.
Police described the first suspect as a thin black man between the ages of 16 and 20, and wearing dark clothes and a hooded sweatshirt.
The second suspect was described as a heavy-built black man between the ages of 16 and 20, and wearing dark clothes, a grey/black hooded sweatshirt and a black ski mask.
Detectives request that anyone with information regarding the robbery and assault to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
