Registration Opens For Co-Ed Fitness Classes At Hicksville Athletic Center

Classes for adults 18 and older will be held in Hicksville, featuring yoga, cardio kickboxing, ballroom dancing, and more.

TOWN OF OYSTER BAY, NY — Looking for a fun way to meet new people while staying active?

The Town of Oyster Bay announced Co-Ed Fitness Classes are starting next week at the Hicksville Athletic Center. The classes are open to anyone above the age of 18.

"Our great spring programs provide a fun, energizing way for residents to stay active while joining with friends or meeting new people," Oyster Bay Town Councilman Steve Labriola said.

The classes are as follows:

  • Ballroom Dancing:
    • Saturdays, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., starting July 11th
  • Cardio Kickboxing:
    • Thursdays, 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., starting July 2nd.
  • Pilates:
    • Mondays, 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., starting March 29th.
  • Yoga:
    • Sundays, 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., starting June 28th.
    • Tuesdays, 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., starting June 30th.
    • Thursdays, 7 a.m. to 8 a.m., starting July 2nd.
    • Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., starting July 11th.
  • Zumba:
    • Mondays, 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., starting July 13th.
    • Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., starting July 1st.
    • Saturdays, 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., starting July 11th.
  • Gentle Movement & Meditation:
    • Tuesdays, 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., starting June 30th. Saturdays, 8:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., starting July 11th.

Residents can visit the Town's website to sign up, and registration opens on June 3 at 5 p.m. for residents and June 10 at 9 a.m. for non-residents. The registration fee is $75 for Town of Oyster Bay residents and $100 for non-residents.
