HICKVILLE, NY — A Levittown man has been arrested after police say he broke in to a Hicksville beer store via a neighboring business and took cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes. On Aug. 29, Paul Danielowich, 47, of Albatross Road, broke in to a vacant business at 12 West Village Green, damaged a wall and entered neighboring Hicksville Beer and Soda, police said. Once inside, he pried open cash registers and ATMs.

Danielowich broke into the vacant business again Sept. 2, then broke into Hicksville Beer and Soda a second time Sept. 10, police said.

Investigators identified Danielowich as the suspect using video surveillance and arrested him. At the time of his arrest, Danielowich was carrying a tan, powdery substance believed to be heroin, and an off-white rock like substance believed to be crack cocaine, police said.
