Troopers ID 2 Victims Killed In Wantagh State Parkway Crash

WESBURY, NY — State police have identified two people killed in a horrific crash early Monday in Westbury. A sedan smashed into a guardrail, went airborne and struck a tree and light pole around 3:30 a.m. Monday, state police said.

Troopers found a 2000 Honda Accord overturned in a wooded area near Wantagh State Parkway and Northern State Parkway. The driver and lone passenger died at the scene.

The victims were identified as 21-year-old Isiah A. Polite of Rockville Centre and 21-year-old Mashalam I. Duvivier of Westbury.

Early indications are that car was speeding when it left the roadway and crashed.
