Westbury Man Faces Child Pornography Charges

A 49-year-old Westbury man was arrested Thursday for possessing child pornography, police say.

According to authorities, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children learned that images of child pornography were downloaded to a Dayton Street address on May 4.

A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Sergio D. Barreno at 7:10 a.m. He was charged with possession of a sexual performance of a child under 16 years old.

He was arraigned Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
