Woman Backs Car Into Nassau Building; Structure Now Deemed Uninhabitable: Police

The crash took place Wednesday morning, police say.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A woman crashed her car into a counseling facility in Hicksville Wednesday morning, police said.

According to Nassau County police, the crash took place at 7 a.m. in Hicksville; a woman, attempting to back into a parking spot on the property of Central Nassau Guidance-Counseling, located at 499 Jerusalem Avenue, accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake, police said. She struck the front of the facility, causing severe structural damage, police said.

The Town of Oyster Bay Building Department responded and deemed the building uninhabitable; all clients were transported to other facilities, police said.
