• Man Claims His Gym Wouldn't Cancel His Membership After He Was Paralyzed from a Stroke (people.com) — A Holbrook resident who was left paralyzed after a stroke says his Planet Fitness gym kept charging him because he couldn't physically sign to cancel his membership. After he contacted a local TV consumer-help segment, the gym ended his contract and refunded several months of fees, and the company emphasized that members can now manage cancellations online.
