Releases Three Bald Eagles In Allegany County (wlea.net) — Three injured bald eagles that spent time recovering at Messinger Woods Wildlife Care and Education Center in Holland, Erie County, are back in the wild after successful rehabilitation. Environmental Conservation Officers helped release the birds in Allegany County, capping months of care that brought state-level wildlife work right into the Holland community.
   

• Man detained for threat on Georgia power plant (meigsindypress.com) — A 23-year-old man from Holland has been detained and charged after federal officials say he sent a fake bomb threat to Georgia Power’s Instagram account, triggering evacuations and lockdowns in Atlanta and Savannah. Authorities report no device was found, but the Holland resident could face up to ten years in prison if convicted.
