2 Arrested During SLA Inspections In Huntington Station: Police

Residents issued complaints about both businesses, including neither stores' bathrooms having employee-handwashing signs, police say.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Two people were arrested during New York State Liquor Authority Inspections in Huntington Station on Friday night, Suffolk police said.

In response to numerous community complaints, Second Precinct Crime Section officers, with the Second Precinct Gang Team and Second Precinct patrol officers, inspected The Three Stars Restaurant, at 118 W. Hills Road; and The Carousel Night Club, at 522 E. Jericho Turnpike, police said.

The Three Stars Restaurant was issued two Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) law violations for alcoholic beverages in an unlicensed area and no employee handwashing signs in the bathrooms, police said. A patron at the restaurant, Junior Alejandro Saezpayero, 27, of Deer Park, was arrested and charged with obstructing governmental administration, disorderly conduct, second-degree harassment and resisting arrest, police said.

The Carousel Night Club was issued two ABC law violations for disorderly premises and no employee handwashing signs in the bathrooms, police said. Vincent Zaccaria, 23, of West Islip, was arrested while driving in the parking lot and charged with driving while intoxicated, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.

Referral forms were completed for both businesses and sent to the State Liquor Authority for further investigation.
