2 Sold E-Liquid Nicotine To Minors In Town Of Huntington: Police

TOWN OF HUNTINGTON, NY — Two people were arrested on Monday in connection with selling e-liquid nicotine to minors in the Town of Huntington, Suffolk police said.

Second Precinct Crime Section officers investigated the sale of vapes and e-cigarettes to minors during which 10 businesses were checked, police said. This came on the heels of numerous community complaints, according to the department.

Two people were arrested during the investigation, police said:

• Marvin Navarro Villeda, 21, of Jamaica, an employee of Smokeez Smoke Shop, at 324 Larkfield Road, East Northport, was charged with one count of second-degree unlawfully dealing with a child.
• Rachid Elassab, 50, of Queens, an employee of Smoke Bazaar Smoke Shop, at 1206 East Jericho Turnpike, Huntington, was charged with two counts of second-degree unlawfully dealing with a child.

Navarro Villeda and Elassab were given field appearance tickets and are slated to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date, police said.

• Smoke Bazaar, at 67 Broadway, Greenlawn.
• Legacy Smoke Shop, at 39 Larkfield Road, East Northport.
• Evolve Smoke Shop, at 290 Larkfield Road, East Northport.
• Evolve Smoke Shop, at 2066 Jericho Turnpike, East Northport.
• Mr. Tobacco 2 Smoke & Vape Shop, at 2031 Jericho Turnpike, East Northport.
• Huntington Smoke & Vape, at 1730B Jericho Turnpike, Huntington.
• Dix Hills Card & Lotto, at 705 Old Country Road, Dix Hills.
