2 Women Burglarized Occupied Huntington Station Home: Police

BREAKING: A resident woke up Tuesday morning to find the women inside her home, police say.

Two women were arrested for burglary after police say a Huntington Station resident woke up and found them inside her home Tuesday morning.

According to authorities, a woman who lives at an Oakcrest Drive home woke up after hearing a noise and saw two people standing in the hallway of her home at 3:15 a.m. The burglars fled, and the woman called 911.

Officers responded to the scene and were able to locate Gianna Figliolia, 25, of Sound Beach, within 30 minutes, and Angelina Navas, 24, of Ridge, several hours later.

The two women were placed under arrest, and both were charged with second-degree burglary and possession of a hypodermic instrument. Figliolia was additionally charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

They will be held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and will be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
