In addition to electing the next President of the United States, local voters will get a chance to vote for the representative of New York's fifth senate district this Election Day.

District: The fifth senate district covers: the City of Glen Cove, Bethpage, Centerport, Cold Spring Harbor, Commack, Dix Hills, East Northport, East Norwich, Eatons Neck, Elwood, Fort Salonga, Glen Head, Glenwood Landing, Greenlawn, Greenvale, Halesite, Hicksville, Huntington, Huntington Station, Jericho, Locust Valley, Melville, Oyster Bay, Plainview, South Huntington, Syosset, West Hills, Woodbury as well as the villages of Asharoken, Bayville, Brookville, Centre Island, Cove Neck, East Hills, Huntington Bay, Lattingtown, Laurel Hollow, Lloyd Harbor, Matinecock, Mill Neck, Muttontown, Northport, Old Brookville, Old Westbury, Oyster Bay Cove, Roslyn Harbor, Sea Cliff and Upper Brookville.
