8 Huntington Town Shops Sold Marijuana Product, Vapes To Minors: PD

Two of the businesses had employees cited in 2022 in connection with selling vapes and e-cigarettes to minors, police say.

TOWN OF HUNTINGTON, NY — Eight businesses sold marijuana products, vapes and e-cigarettes to minors across the Huntington township, Suffolk police said Wednesday.

Suffolk police officers investigated 20 businesses on Tuesday to see if they were following the law after complaints were made by community members.

Two of the businesses, Smoke Bazaar Smoke Shop N’ Vape, at 526 Walt Whitman Road, Melville; and Smokeez Smoke Shop, at 324 Larkfield Road, East Northport, had employees cited for selling vapes and e-cigarettes to minors in 2022, police said.

Police charged employees of the following two stores with third-degree criminal sale of cannabis (a misdemeanor), police said:

  • Smoke Bazaar Smoke Shop N’ Vape, at 526 Walt Whitman Road, Melville.
  • Smokeez Smoke Shop, at 324 Larkfield Road, East Northport.

Police charged employees of these six stores with second-degree unlawfully dealing with a child (a misdemeanor), police said:

  • RK Cigar and Smoke, at 824 East Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station.
  • Evolve Smoke Shop, at 2066 Jericho Turnpike, East Northport.
  • 76 Gas, at 1714 New York Ave., Huntington Station.
  • Jericho Beer & Smoke Convenience, at 1058 E. Jericho Turnpike, Huntington.
  • Legacy Smoke Shop, at 39 Larkfield Road, East Northport.
  • Nirvana Vape Smoke, at 1153A E. Jericho Turnpike, Huntington.

Twelve other businesses police investigated did not have violations. Five of those 12 businesses had been cited for violations in 2022, police said.
