HUNTINGTON, NY--Nine young artists from Huntington High School are currently having their work shown at the Huntington Arts Council’s High Arts Showcase XV at the Main Street Gallery in the village. The exhibit will run through June 1 and features work from several dozen junior and seniors from seven Long Island school districts that participate in the Huntington Arts Council’s Journey program.
Some of the different art genres on display are oil, watercolor, digital photography, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, fabric and collage.
“As always, the arts are alive and well in Huntington,” Superintendent James W. Polansky said via a release. “The talent and commitment possessed by these students and their teachers is unparalleled. We are so pleased that they have the opportunity to exhibit their work at the Huntington Arts Council’s local Main Street Gallery. All are encouraged to visit this month to see their beautiful creations and those of other students from across the area.”
