DIX HILLS, NY — Suffolk County Legislator Tom Donnelly has selected Seriously Spoiled Salon and Spa as the 2026 Legislative District 17 Small Business Honoree.
Founded by owner and licensed cosmetologist Karen Pedra, the Dix Hills-based business has become a destination for children’s spa experiences, birthday celebrations and family events across Long Island.
Inspired by her daughters, Kayla and Alayna, Pedra opened Seriously Spoiled in 2008 to create a place where young girls could feel celebrated and pampered in a fun, welcoming environment.
The Dix Hills location opened in 2011 and has since become known for its themed spa experiences, pink robes, sparkling pink lemonade and party packages designed for individuals and groups.
For more than 18 years, the business has focused on creating memorable experiences for families while building strong ties within the local community.
The recognition is part of Suffolk County’s annual small business recognition program established through Resolution 409-23, which allows each legislator to select a local business to honor each year.
Pedra and the other 2026 honorees were recognized during the Suffolk County Legislature’s May 12 general meeting in Riverhead, where Donnelly presented her with a county proclamation.
“Karen Pedra created something truly unique with Seriously Spoiled,” Donnelly said. “From the moment you walk through the door, it is clear that every detail is designed to make girls feel important and special and create memories that last long after the visit ends. Small businesses like Seriously Spoiled are what make our communities special, and I’m proud to recognize Karen and her team for the joy they have brought to so many families over the years.”
Seriously Spoiled Salon and Spa is located at 707 Old Country Road in Dix Hills.
