HUNTINGTON, NY — A 23-year-old Huntington Station man was seriously injured in an e-bike crash Wednesday afternoon in Huntington, Suffolk police said.
Osiris Shepherd was riding a 2025 Talaria e-bike in a parking lot near 35A Gerard St. at about 2:20 p.m. when he lost control and struck a curb, police said.
The impact ejected Shepherd from the e-bike and sent him into a storefront window of Restaurant Joanina, shattering the glass, according to police.
Shepherd was taken to Huntington Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The restaurant owner told Patch that the business remains open and wished Shepherd a speedy recovery.
The e-bike was impounded for a safety inspection. Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating the crash.
Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 631-854-8252.
