Men Stole $4.1K In Clothes, Fled In Cybertruck In Huntington Station: Police (patch.com) — Police say two men stole about $4,100 in clothing from the Bloomingdale's on Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station before fleeing in a silver Tesla Cybertruck. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward and is asking Huntington-area residents to share anonymous tips that could help identify the suspects.

Suffolk supervisors call for looser state tax cap (newsday.com) — Huntington residents face a proposed 18% property tax increase in the town's 2027 budget, as Supervisor Ed Smyth joins other Suffolk leaders urging Albany to loosen the state's 2% tax cap. Officials warn that without changes, they may pierce the cap and cut parks, beaches, and recreation services while grappling with rising pension, health care, and waste-disposal costs.
