93-Year-Old Woman Killed By Backing Landscaping Truck In Dix Hills: Police

DIX HILLS, NY — A 93-year-old woman died after she was struck by a landscaping truck that was backing up in Dix Hills on Wednesday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

Surinder Kour, 93, of Dix Hills, was walking northbound on Seneca Court when she was struck by a landscaping truck around 2:10 p.m., police said.

Kour was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of Huntington Station was not injured, police said.

The truck was inspected at the scene by Suffolk County Police Motor Carrier Safety Section officers.
