Dr. Richard Davis is a board certified fellow of The American Academy of Ophthalmology. He joined the Huntington Medical Group in 1991 and founded their department of ophthalmology, which led to the opening of Precision Eye Care in May of 2000.

Dr. Davis performs the most advanced cataract and vision correction surgeries that enable patients to see near and far without glasses. He is on the leading edge of changes in the field of ophthalmology, as he explains, “As the founding partner of Precision Eye Care, I am able to keep current on all the newest surgical techniques and equipment.” Precision Eye Care is one of the most advanced facilities of its type in the country. “My practice is different than most eye care providers because of our vertical integration. In addition, Dr. Davis has recently developed iRead, an application for the iPhone and Android that allows users to magnify and read small text. Beside cataract surgery and refractive problems, Dr. Davis treats many patients for glaucoma and dry eye, and has been instrumental in bringing the modality of Intense Pulsed Light to New York for the treatment of dry eye.
