Beatles Tribute Band; Abe Lincoln: Huntington Library February Events

Description: Godfrey Cambridge, Redd Foxx, Dick Gregory, Flip Wilson, Nipsey Russell, Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, and Eddie Murphy! In this unique presentation, we will celebrate the incredible contributions these eight comedians brought to the world of comedy. Each, in their own distinctive voice, introduced an incomparable style of comedy to the world, breaking racially prejudiced barriers along the way. Registration required and open to all.

Event: Abraham Lincoln: From Rail Splitter to President

Time: 7 p.m.
Description: Lou Del Bianco portrays Lincoln as Civil War President, frontiersman, and storyteller. Audiences will learn about Lincoln’s values — honesty, love of family, thirst for education, sense of justice and perseverance plus his struggles as President from his suspension of the writ of Habeas Corpus to his stand on slavery. New light is also shed on his personal struggles as well. Authentic historical quotations are used throughout. Question and answer period follows the program. This show was endorsed by the Lincoln Bicentennial Commission. Presented by the Huntington Area Libraries. Registration required and open to all.

They cover all eras from The Ed Sullivan performances up to the rooftop concert and Abbey Road. Penny Lane’s dedication to replicating The Beatles sound is evident in their performance. The band achieves their sound by using the exact instruments The Beatles used, coupled with soaring harmonies.
