HUNTINGTON, NY — The Huntington Public Library released its July events slate. The library is at 338 Main St., Huntington.

Event: Coloring & Creativity
Location: HPL Main Meeting Room
Date: Thursdays, July 6 and 20; Aug. 3, 17, and 31
Time: 1 to 3 p.m.
Description: Bring your own coloring supplies and enjoy two hours of socializing, relaxing, and being creative. Led by Annina. Registration suggested. Open to all.

Event: Zumba with Carol Rodriguez
Location: Main Auditorium
Dates: Fridays, July 7, 14, 21, 28; Aug. 4, 18, 25. 7 sessions • $35
Time: 11 to 11:45 a.m.
Description: Join us for this high energy fitness class with Carol Rodriguez. Zumba combines different Latin dance styles, including the Merengue, Cha-Cha, and more, to create a fun workout appropriate for all levels. No dance experience is necessary! Event: Sound Meditation with Guided Imagery

Description: Donna Nesteruk will use quartz crystal bowls that produce powerful vibratory sound waves that harmoniously resonate deeply within the body along with other meditative sounds to allow for a restorative and relaxing experience. These sounds create a peaceful calm and harmony within. Guided imagery is a conscious, intentional use of your imagination, which accesses your subconscious mind via sensory images. Description: Speak one-on-one with a Suffolk County RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) volunteer from HIICAP (Health Insurance Information, Counseling, & Assistance Program) to answer questions and provide information specific to your own needs regarding Medicare health insurance and benefits, Medicare Savings Programs, Extra Help for prescription drugs, and EPIC (Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage). Description: Students of all levels will be provided with guidance and support that meet your individual needs at this Hatha-based class that has a balance of Vinyasa flows and gentle poses. Event: "Sleepless City": A Nick Ryan Novel

Description: Join us to celebrate the launch of "Sleepless City," the first novel in Reed Farrel Coleman's new series. Reed has written 32 novels including six in the Jesse Stone series for the late Robert B. Parker. He is a four-time recipient of the Shamus Award and four-time Edgar Award nominee in three different categories, and has also won the Audie, Scribe, Macavity, Barry, and Anthony awards. Reed lives with his wife on Long Island. Books will be available for purchase along with an in-person book signing. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the Friends of the Huntington Public Library, a non-profit organization in support of the library.
