Blaze Breaks out in Lloyd Neck Waterfront Home
Five local fire departments helped extinguish the house fire Wednesday night.
About 85 firefighters spent nearly two hours battling a blaze that broke out at a waterfront home in Lloyd Neck on Wednesday night, fire officials say.
Firefighters from five local departments responded to the Seacrest Drive home at 8 p.m. to find the attached garage and second floor home fully involved in the fire, according to fire officials.
The firefighters from Huntington, Halesite, Cold Spring Harbor, Huntington Manor, Centerport and Greenlawn fire departments had the fire under control in under two hours.

The residents were not home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
The firefighters and ten trucks were under the command of Huntington Fire Department chief Jesse Cukro, supported by assistant chiefs Rob Conroy, Brian Keane and Scott Dodge.

Lloyd Harbor Police Department and Suffolk Police Arson Squad are investigating the cause of the fire.
