Blaze Engulfs Car in Suffolk County Library Parking Lot

The fire occurred Sunday night.

A car was completely destroyed after it became engulfed in flames in Huntington Station Sunday night, fire officials say.

The Huntington Manor Fire Department responded to a fully involved car fire in the parking lot of the South Huntington Public Library, located at 145 Pidgeon Hill Road, at 9:10 p.m.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the BMW sedan but the vehicle was a total loss, fire officials say.

No injuries were reported.

Two fire engines responded to the scene, which were under the command of assistant chiefs Mike DePasquale, Jon Hoffmann and Chuck Brady.
