Local Boy Scouts Need Your Help Collecting Food
Boy Scouts in Commack, Huntington, Hauppauge and Smithtown are collecting non-perishable food items that will go to local pantries.

Boy Scouts in Matinecock district (Commack, Huntington, Hauppauge and Smithtown) have started their Scouting for Food Drive, where they will be collecting non-perishable food items that will go to local pantries.
This is the 29th consecutive year local scouts have joined with scouts across the country collecting non-perishable food items to share with their neighbors in need.
It is one of scouting’s finest hours as hundreds of youths work to make a difference in their communities.

When you see them or if you know a scout, help by donating non-perishable food items to this worthy cause. Help them make a difference today and to learn skills they can use to help others tomorrow.

The scout units and volunteers will meet at John Glenn High School on Saturday March, 19 with all the food they collected over the past few months and will sort the items and package it for distribution from 9-11:30 a.m.
