MoonGroove Short Film Screening Event 2026

MoonGroove's Film Showcase returns for its fourth annual showcase on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington, NY. MoonGroove is a collective of emerging independent filmmakers who want to highlight the talent and effort of young creatives in film.

The screening will feature 8 short films from student, independent, and emerging filmmakers, with selections ranging from comedy to drama, representing filmmakers from New York, across the country, and internationally.

This year’s showcase will include two filmmaker Q&A sessions, followed by a social hour featuring networking opportunities, giveaways, activities, and freebies! The event is designed to bring filmmakers and audiences together in a shared theatrical experience, while creating opportunities for emerging artists to connect, showcase their work, and grow within the independent film community.

The event is open to the public, with tickets available through the Cinema Arts Centre. A livestream ticket option is also available for viewers who cannot attend in person.
