Candlelight Vigil Saturday Afternoon for NYPD Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo in Huntington

BREAKING: Tuozzolo, of Huntington, was shot and killed by a Long Island man in the Bronx Friday, police say.

Hundreds of people are expected at a candlelight vigil Saturday afternoon in Huntington to remember NYPD Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo, who was shot and killed in the Bronx Friday.

The Huntington Chamber of Commerce, Assemb. Chad Lupinacci, as well as community and civic groups will join friends and neighbors of Tuozzolo in a ceremony to honor the local Huntington resident, who was a father of two.

The vigil begins at 4:30 p.m. outside The Paramount theatre at 370 New York Ave.

Flags will be flying at half-staff. A police pipe and drum band will be playing. Stores will have blue ribbons and lights for police solidarity. Federal state and local elected officials, as well as police officers from throughout the Tri-State area, will also be attending the ceremony.
