Cold Spring Harbor HS Ranked Among The Best

The U.S. News & World Report once again ranked Cold Spring Harbor High School among the best high schools in the nation.

COLD SPRING HARBOR, NY — Cold Spring Harbor High School was once again ranked among the top high schools in the nation by the U.S. News & World Report, the school district announced.

Cold Spring Harbor High School was ranked No. 1 in Suffolk County, No. 6 on Long Island and nationally ranked No. 268 among more than 18,000 high schools. Schools are evaluated based on objective data. Best High School rankings are produced with RTI International, a global research firm, according to the district.

"This recognition is a testament to the ongoing commitment of our board of education, administrators, staff, families and community residents to ensure that as a district we are focused on individual student performance and providing all students with the opportunity to experience and succeed in challenging academic courses," Superintendent of Schools Jill M. Gierasch said in a news release. "We congratulate our students who are committed to challenging themselves with the most rigorous academic courses, while they participate in activities, sports and community service. They are learning the skills needed to be well-rounded as they prepare for their futures."

As a result of achieving this national ranking, Cold Spring Harbor High School earned the status as a U.S. News Best High School and gained eligibility to display a U.S. News trademarked 2023-2024 Best High School award badge.
