D’Amaro Appointed Chairman of Budget and Finance Committee
Also named to Public Safety, Human Services, and Environmental Planning and Agriculture committees.

Suffolk County Legislator Lou D’Amaro has begun work as chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee.
Recently named to the position by Presiding Officer Bill Lindsay, the four-term lawmaker chaired his first committee meeting last week.
The 17th District legislator said he is focused on controlling the size of government.

"The residents of Suffolk County have my commitment that I will use my position on the Budget and Finance Committee to continue advancing these goals, while at the same time minimizing any impacts on our county workforce," said D'Amaro in a press release.
D'Amaro, D-Huntington Station, will also serve on the Environment, Planning and Agriculture Committee as vice-chairman for the seventh consecutive year; the newly-formed Human Services Committee; and the Public Safety Committee.
